Export mentorship for first-time exporters

A structured programme that takes you from registration to a first shipment, with each decision checked against real customs data.

Why mentorship rather than a report

A first export fails on sequence, not on effort: the wrong Incoterm agreed before the duty was checked, a payment term the buyer’s bank will not honour, a product classified under the wrong HS code. A report describes these; mentorship catches them while they are still cheap to fix.

1

Foundations

IEC, GST, bank and product classification — done once and done right.

2

Market and buyer

Choose the destination and shortlist buyers from shipment data.

3

Offer and price

Costing, Incoterm and payment terms that survive a bank review.

4

First shipment

Documents, forwarder, insurance and clearance, reviewed before dispatch.

What a mentee gets

Scheduled review sessions

A fixed cadence of short calls, each ending with written next steps.

Document review

Proforma, commercial invoice, packing list and shipping instructions checked before they go out.

Data access for the engagement

Shipment records for your product and target market throughout the programme.

A partner introduction

A vetted forwarder and customs agent for your route, if you want one.

Honest expectation

Mentorship shortens the learning curve and prevents costly first-shipment errors. It does not create demand for a product nobody wants, and we will tell you if the data says so.

Questions

Do I need an IEC before I start?

No. Getting one is the first module. See the IEC registration guide.

How long is the programme?

It is scoped to your product and starting point and stated in the written quote. Simple, single-product starts are shorter.

Is there a refund if it does not suit me?

Terms are in the refund policy and cancellation policy.
